CJTTA Training Classes
CJTTA provides intense 10 months programs for junior players in all levels. Through these programs, our professional coaches will prepare and develop talented junior table tennis players with the potential to represent Alberta, and perhaps even Canada, in the future.
Beginner/Novice
New to table tennis and not sure if you can make the commitment of full year training? You may try the short term training classes. Get started the right way with the assistance of our coaches! We will help you choose the right equipment. Additionally, you will learn fundamental skills, such as how to grip the racquet, forehand and backhand strokes, basic serves, along with basic game rules.
Intermediate/Advanced
In this class, we will expand upon previously learned techniques and skills. The things taught in this class will include footwork, loops, chops, serves, receives, strategy, and refinement of techniques.
At this level, a student will have solid basics and move their focus toward footwork, improving their loop, and developing strategies to advance their game.
In the advanced class, students will have solid basics, solid looping, and are likely to have developed a strong personal style. Even after reaching this level, there are always things to learn!
